- 500g minced lamb
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 onion, grated
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh mint
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh coriander
- Pitta brea, tzatziki and cucumber slices, to serve
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Divide into 8 mini burgers or 4 regular ones, wet your hands and roll each ball into an oval shape. Place onto a baking tray and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Cook the burgers on a griddle pan or in a frying pan for 3-4 minutes each side. (Or 5-6 minutes per side if you are making 4 larger burgers.) Serve with warmed pitta bread, tzatziki and cucumber slices.
