Easy pitta pizza recipe
This recipe is fun for a play date or a larger group. Children can spread on the tomato puree and choose their own toppings.
- 3 tablespoons tomato puree
- 4 pitta breads (we use brown but white also works)
- 150g mozzarella cheese, grated
- Large pinch of dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Suggested toppings: chopped spinach, sauteed mushrooms, cut up Parma ham, olives, whatever your children fancy
Preheat the oven to 220°C/gas mark 7.
Mix the tomato puree with 3 tablespoons of water. Place the pitta breads on a baking tray and spread the tomato mixture over the top, add your chosen toppings, scatter over the cheese and oregano.
Drizzle with the olive oil and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes
